About this listen

The Dragonspawn Saga - audiobook two (of five).

Abandoned as an infant, Giselle's identity was lost. To discover who and what she really was would unleash the power and strength that lay dormant within her. The blood that coursed through her veins was not human. Born of a witch and fathered by a dragon, she was cursed. Forsaken, yet she would be nurtured and thrive.

Would her birthright bring happiness or sorrow? Would her dreams of true love come true? Or would she be a mere possession?

The mysterious rose held the answer. Will she find happiness with the powerful wizard, Moorlange, or the elusive and handsome stranger, Gaddeon? And who is the Guardian, and what does he know?

Ms. Charlotte Cartlidge has done a fine job narrating this, the second in a five-part series of dragons, magic, romance and fantasy. Hopefully the next three are soon to follow, as the story unfolds to new adventures and adversaries. Well done!

I listened to the first book quite long ago. And due to the books I'm listening to it took me a while to enter to this story as a tale.
It was a very good story, the narrator was very good. And I liked it very much.
A very good book to listen to.

This fantasy story are very similar to a fairytale, in the way that we follow a dragon princess from birth to her growing up while finding herself and her “prince”.
This story wasn’t my cup of tea. It’s an okay story and I am sure some will love it, but it doesn’t have enough depth for my taste. If you take it as an easy to digest book, you won’t be disappointed.
The narrator does an okay job, but her version of male voices isn’t very good. She doesn’t make the story worse, but doesn’t lend a lot to it either.

As always, I have to state that this book was given to me for free in exchange for a review.
I always like to state that this does not impact my review or my opinion of the book. My reviews are honest and my own opinion of the story, performance, and overall thoughts on the book.

We follow a dragon princess from birth to her growing up while finding herself and her prince.

This story really is just like every other story out there. Girl seeks prince. Add a few dark twists. The end.

Dark fairy tale. Repeat.
