AI narration ruins story!
I love this entire series and was very excited that the entire series would be released in audiobook, both so I could listen to them and so my sister, who mainly listens to books could experience the world at Dragon’s Gap. When it was announced that it would be AI narration I was concerned but decided to try the books. Unfortunately, the AI narration is jarring, the whole book is spoken in a women’s voice with no inflection, random pauses that do not flow with sentence structure, and each person speaking seems to flow into the next which makes it very difficult to tell who is speaking and to follow the storyline unless you are concentrating the entire time you listen. I like to listen when driving, completing housework and working on projects but I cannot do that with this book because of how much attention I have to give to the story just to tell where I am in story, who is speaking and even what’s going on.
