Publisher's summary

Falling for a girl I just met was never in my plans.

We had one night together, and most days I convince myself that she was an apparition - something I made up in my mind to get me through the hard days.

Then I found her again.

Only she wasn't happy and smiling, giving me a hard time like she did the day we met. She was broken...unseeing eyes no longer filled with life. She was gone because of another person's disregard for human life.

That night devastated me - transformed me from a person who upheld the law to a man that broke it.

My life was ruined, and all I had to fall back on was the Cerberus MC. Returning to the clubhouse breathed new life and determination into me.

Contains mature themes.

Sorry, not sorry, but this sucked

SPOILERS!!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but I HATED this book. I looked forward to Drew as much as I looked forward to hear Izzy's tale and was so excited when I found out they would be together. All hopes were dashed when this crazy, ridiculous, mess of a story got moving.

The two of them made awful choices from the go. Izzy's choices set this whole mess in motion and even though Drew's choices after the fact were terrible. I can't help but blame her.

Izzy knew her dad went through hell because he couldn't see her when he wanted to, yet she made the choice to not track Drew down to tell him he was going to be a father. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish.

Drew obsessed over Izzy after they shared a single night together. Fate brought him to an accident where a familair woman died. Drew thought it was "Megen" and he lost his mind. He acted erratic and murdered a man.

After he was charged he gets released after a few months and comes face to face with the woman he thought passed away, only now she's pregnant.

A ridiculous series of events ensue and I hated the choices that both characters make.

I wasn't smiling, excited, or experiencing any type of happiness while listening to this mess. I was aggravated, rolling my eyes, and fast forwarding through the BS. I hated it!

The ONLY reason it isn't one star is because I love this series for the most part. I love the other characters and have loved the other books, but this was awful.

Wtf

I love this series but this??? This could have been prevented, she had enough information to get to him and make sure that he knew who she was before he emanated his life.. And Drew!! WTF I get wanting to be honorable but come on man you could have fought for your family.

Disappointing

These characters were not as good as I hoped they would be. From the very beginning the MFC made poor decisions. She continued to make poor decisions. The fact that she just believed the things the MMC said in his letter is ridiculous. She knew he said hurtful things to his brother also. She should’ve realized he was trying to distance since he was going to be in prison. However, he was stupid and selfish not to tell the entire story about the death and get the lesser sentence. This book was not the best of the series. Allowing the boy to call a friend Da was wrong.
