About this listen

Enter the realm of a serial killer; share his thoughts, his emotions, his pain, and his need to assassinate.

Walter, an ordinary factory worker obsessing over the mistreatment of victims by the courts, becomes a vigilante for justice. Appalled by adjudicators coddling criminals under the guise of civil rights, Walter factors himself in as a lethal consequence for depraved individuals walking out of court with a slap on the wrist as punishment for heinous crimes.

He has no particular skill sets qualifying him to fight crime. He relies on cunning, isolation, and his hunting and tracking skills to take down targets and bring about his form of justice. A kaleidoscope of dreams and apparitions thrusts Walter into a nightmarish world where the lines of good and evil are discernible.

When applying justice, he finds right and wrong interchangeable; body count is his only measure of success.

Exceptional Novel!

The narrator was an excellent fit for the content of this novel, and the imagery the author created was vivid. This is not the type of book I would normally choose due to the dark themes, however I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audio version, and am looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.

Due Process

This is a classic story of good vs evil, of real world super hero’s and real world villains. Have you ever wondered what happens to a criminal in the justice system after they are caught and convicted? How about what happens to the victims? As this story explains in great detail, it is probably not what you think. The criminals often times get away with a minimal punishment while the victims have to suffer for the rest of their lives reliving everything they went through day after day. I guess that is just the reality of our system...or is it? Maybe there are good people out there following up on these evil doers to make sure they get what they have earned. Maybe the real world is not all bad as the media would have us believe, but maybe there really could be some hero’s among us still. Pick up a copy or catch the audio book version. Both are great. And be sure to enjoy the carefully selected names of the characters through out the story. While reading this I found myself disappointed with our justice system, fascinated at the thought that good people might be out there picking up where the system left off, disgusted by what forms evil can take and what things it chooses to do, and smiling at the thought of evil’s flame being snuffed out. Getting ready to start the next book in the series right now so I can see where the characters go in search of evil and how they will put an end to it. As the old verse goes...You reap what you sow...good luck villains, Walter is coming for you and he is not alone.

Hard to put into words

First off. Perfect voice actor. Totally captured the air and feel of the protagonist and really told the story. The book grabs you by the first chapter, hands down, presents you with a situation and builds upon it and really throws you down the rabbit hole. If your weak of constitution to what goes on in the dark under belly of society then this book isn’t for you. If you like a dark compelling story that appeals to your personal call to justice then this is your book.
Would highly recommend.
