About this listen

Greed took her family. Grief awakened her gift. Now she’s running for her life—and her freedom.

Cassandra Wolfe was born with a gift she was told to hide - until tragedy forces her to embrace it. When gold is discovered on her family’s land, a wave of greed and violence shatters everything she holds dear. Widowed, hunted, and furious, she finally stops hiding. She fights back. Her escape to San Francisco is meant to be a new beginning - but fate has other plans.

Dalton Rivers has a mission to complete and a family legacy to protect. But when he meets Cassandra, that mission shifts. She’s fierce, mysterious, and carrying secrets that could get them both killed.

As danger follows them across the rugged expanse of Wyoming, Dalton must decide: will he protect his family’s dream - or chase a new one with a woman who refuses to be broken?

Dust and Dreams is a gritty historical western romance with supernatural elements, emotional stakes, and unforgettable love. Perfect for fans of strong heroines, rugged cowboys, and edge-of-your-saddle suspense.

Includes violence, peril, and faith-based themes. Some strong language.

First, the Virtual Voice narration is horrible. You can never tell who speaking, accent is put on the wrong parts of words or words are said completely incorrectly, such as bow for bow.
The storyline and series itself has great potential, but there are a few mistakes I believe unrelated to the narration. What color are her eyes, it keeps changing, what Indian tribe is being talked about, it keeps changing, paragraph to paragraph.
If you can read a physical copy of this book I would recommend it! I LOVE a good series book and the characters are interesting enough to pull through well to future books.
