About this listen
East Is East: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*
Twenty-first of 37 Emma Lathen best sellers. Features John Putnam Thatcher, SVP of the Sloan Guaranty Trust. International, robotics, and finance, with John Putnam Thatcher going to Japan, Alaska, and elsewhere on Sloan business and solving an international murder involving Japanese, Koreans, and Americans.
*Booktrack is an immersive listening experience that pairs traditional audiobook narration with complementary music and sound effects. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.
Please note: The audio for this title has noise issues at the beginning and end of each file/chapter.

don't want to be too harsh but~ vanity project
These books have been comfort reading for years. Was really glad to see them surface as audio books.
But~~ and there is a big but ~~ the reading is terrible. Hesitations that don't fit the sentence are the hardest to listen to. Often sounds as if he forgot what he was doing or where he is in the book. The story/words follow the books much better than the kindle versions (yes, I still have the paperbacks! was serious when said comfort reading!) but there are some spots where you go ?? and don't get me started on the background noise!
Unfortunately, it seems these were resurrected only to try and sell the "new" books.
Will listen to these, but unfortunately can't say they will be some of my comfort listening.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
