About this listen

A strange signal pulses through Deer Valley, threatening humans and robots.

Wally has never questioned her life in Deer Valley, where humans and robots rebuilt after the AI Uprising. But when she hears animals' thoughts, and a trusted Peacekeeper suddenly turns violent, her world shatters.

When Dr. Valerie Kaine arrives, her hidden agenda unleashes dangerous technology. Her true targets: Wally and ten other teenagers carrying neural implants from an abandoned experiment.

As fear spreads, Block the CleanerBot faces exile from the community he helped build. He must stop Kaine before she activates powers that could destroy everything.

Wally must unite her friends to save the only home they’ve ever known, even as they discover the truth about who—and what—they were meant to be.

Echoes of Steel is a robot post-apocalyptic adventure about identity, found family, and the courage to forge your own destiny.

I enjoyed this continuation of Block and Wallys story. I like the way the writer is advancing this story. Wally and the other orphans are now 15. The children are growing up and changing. Some of the robots begin to malfunction and it frightens folks. Many peaceful years have passed, but once again things are going to change. I look forward to more adventures with Wally and Block.
