About this listen
This connection must be felt on a personal level. One that goes beyond scientific fact and into ancient places of intuition and wisdom - those places within our personal dark abyss where we truly feel the pain of elephants being murdered for ivory, where trees that have stood for hundreds of years are burned away to make grazing land for cattle, who themselves are destined to be slaughtered and ground up into fast food.
Archetypes are universal symbols connecting the consciousness of all beings, throughout all time, and in all places. Archetypical images give us a way of understanding not only the world around us, but also the world within us. By noticing our reactions and examining the various archetypes we are experiencing at the moment, we begin to see that our reactions are like those exhibited by some other mythological character. Not only does this help us to better understand ourselves, but it also helps us to feel more connected to the greater universe around us.
When we understand ourselves, we become open to new solutions, new ways of being in relationships, and better ways to heal wounded relationships.
These types lead us to deeper levels of understanding and fuller ways of living our lives. We will explore five different archetypes. These types include: the Wild one, Royalty, Warrior, Pagan, and God/dess.
We all carry bits of each type, just as all archetypal forces live within each of our individualized expressions of consciousness.
Through this work, a greater understanding of our relationship with the natural world will be found. The types involved within this relationship will be given strong voices enabling us to hear them clearly, in order that they might be our guides as we work our way towards personal and planetary healing.
