About this listen

At Angelview Academy, Saint Angelle is god.

Trust me, I should know.

I’m the girl who's watched him manipulate and ruin and break - the "nobody" he’s done all those things and so much more to.

Saint swears he had his reasons. He vows that he’s not the enemy. He even promises to tear down kingdoms to keep me safe. To possess me. To keep me.

I think he’s wrong.

Because, we were star-crossed - the vicious god and the unsuspecting mortal - from the moment I stepped foot on campus. And there’s only one way this will end.

Eden is a full-length new adult/ mature high school romance with enemies-to-lovers and bullying themes. It is not recommended for listeners under 17 as it contains dubious situations and triggers that some listeners may find offensive. It is the third book in the Angelview Academy series and is the conclusion of the story line started in Saint and Malice.

Just Okay

I actually liked this audiobook, but I didn’t love it. I just couldn’t connect with the two main characters. He was a total jerk, and I have enjoyed the bully romance, but he was over the top. Mallory was annoying as well. I mean, she was good for Saint, but sometimes her attitude drove me crazy. I think there was too much F-Bombs for me to truly enjoy this book.

Addison Barnes did a great job now reading the book. I think I would’ve rather had a male narrator for Saint’s parts, but she actually did a good job.

There was a knock at the door.....

Good story, but the author needs to expand her/his repertoire to add suspense beyond "There was a knock at the door" and "when I opened the door, I froze....". One kept expecting an orchestra to play "Dit Dit Daaahh!!!" I think those phrases were used to death. Other than that, I think the author has lots of good plot ideas, has no problem stuffing a great many ideas together for lots of twists and turns to keep readers guessing.

The narrator was good at distinguishing amongst the various characters, including many males. Kudos for actually sounding male! All in all, a good tongue-in-cheek romp, as long as you are not expecting serious drama.

hmmmmmmm

I couldn't stop listening to these books. The series was pretty good. Although it was kind of repetitive towards the end. The main Character seems to repeat the same actions and repeat the same responses a lot.... That had me rolling my eyes several times. And there definitely could have been more sex or at least better explanations of the sex. All that being said it was a good story! I think there should be another book (a steamier more adult version) so we can see if Nora comes back to get "her money".....???? she is alive and a bad bitch.

The Best Series!

I've listened to all 3 books in the series, and I have to say without a doubt, this is absolutely the best series that I've read in years. The only down fall is that it actually ended! I highly recommend this series!

WOW, YOU ALMOST GOT ME, ADDISON BARNES!

I was about to actually lose my mind and rage out at the end of this book, to the point where I was ready to look up this writer and find out what the hell happened to make her give us such a cruel and hurtful ending to this series. I can't believe I almost fell for it, she almost had me there for a minute!!!! I could feel the anger burning in my chest as I started to think that either Mallory was being tricked and didn't know what had actually happened like how Nora got away that first time, or that it was true that things had gone down the way the book portrayed them at Saint's house and the author was a cruel and unforgiving person. But then she said: "I'd like to leave in the past, ya know?" and Liam was talking about how she'd gained some weight and been traveling and living life and such. Not just that, but when Liam was stunned at how cold-hearted it was, my brain FINALLY came back online. That was the giveaway... that was what made it click in my mind why she was acting that way, what she had done and why she had kept it up this long. It actually made me shriek with glee out loud and smile for this character, knowing that things were FINALLY going to be okay for poor Mallory after all the nonsense she'd gone through. I really had doubts when I noticed there was only an hour left and there seemed to be so much to finish and so many loose ends to tie up, but I was surprised to see how well the author pulled it all together.

I wanted to add that Liam's character was an interesting one, as was Rosalynn's (don't know if that's the correct spelling or not). I'd read a spin-off book about those two, Liam's obsession with Mallory got annoying after a while and all the situations that he kept putting her in and the hot and cold with her made me irritated with him but overall, I really liked the character. Overall, I have to say that the series felt a bit redundant in the second and third books since a lot of the same kinds of events kept happening over and over again. Saint tries to get Mal to leave, she doesn't, their chemistry controls them and sexy time happens, they regret it and continue hating on each other, Saint betrays her AGAIN in some way to make her leave, rinse and repeat over and over. Laurel was another character that annoyed me; of course she is meant to be the mean girl of the book, but it felt like she was an unnecessary character in so many ways after the second book especially. I don't know about anyone else, but I did not care what that wench had to say throughout the third book and I won't speak for everyone but I know I was tired of her taking up any time in the story. There seemed to just be a lot of repeated scenarios that led to everything dragging out longer and longer, and I honestly think the writer might have been able to edit the story down quite a bit, probably to the point of only having two long books rather than three medium-length ones. Good marketing? Sure. But it doesn't always make for repeat listeners/readers and if it weren't for my naturally obsessive and curious nature, I probably wouldn't have bought the third book since I was starting to get bored. That being said, I'm so glad I did, just because of the ending we got. It was definitely well-deserved, and although my gripes about the series sound like it's not a 5 star series, it really was excellent in many ways. I would have given it 5 stars overall if it weren't for the issues I already mentioned as well as the lack of editing on the audio. There were at least 3-4 times in each book that the narrator seemed to do another take of a scene and she ended up repeating herself because the person who did the audio apparently never listened to it to make sure it sounded right and subsequently missed all of times he missed editing out the extra takes of sentences. All that being said, I enjoyed it all and I'd read another book or series by this author again. I'd like to see how she improves over time because the issues I saw here were rather small in comparison to other series I've read and I think she has a great skill for writing and storytelling that could get even better over time.

amazing

I finished this entire series so fast I think I have whiplash. This series has caught my attention and kept it. I love the character development and then ending nearly killed me but I would, hands down, recommend these books to anyone who will listen!
