Publisher's summary

This is a manual for living from the heart. Moore uses the great teachers and writers of the past and present as teachers for today who can point us toward a richer, more spiritful, and soul-filled life. He uses many of the sources that influenced and inspired his books, Care of the Soul, Soul Mates, and The Re-Enchantment of Everyday Life, choosing special passages that show us how to cultivate our humanity. As Moore says, "Listen to these passages, write them down for future reference, tell them to friends, commit them to memory, these are all ways of educating the heart."

head muscle like no book has in a long time

fed my soul like no book has in a long time. I'm a longtime Thomas More follower but I really appreciate this digging deep into his footnotes and it helps me as I continue on my own formational Journey

You know those people who talk smoothly

This book is a masterpiece in demonstrating the great skill of talking for hours but saying nothing.
It’s all over the place. It masterfully smuggles a bunch of made up nonsense as facts by merely branding them with fuzzy religious concepts or riding the coat-tails of historical figures.

Wow.

Good for using as background noise for falling asleep.
