This was a pretty solid collection of short stories. The premise is an apartment building where each story is a different apartment. Some apartments have better stories than others, but all were well written and enjoyable. The narrator, Kristina Rothe did a great job of bringing the stories and chapters to life. Each person in each apartment had a different voice. And each story had a different vibe and flow. It wasn’t just monotone reading throughout.

A pretty good collection

This is a compilation of dark stories, I love the way it was set up, as an apartment building with each story taking place in a different apartment. My kind of building! As with any compilation, some stories were better than others. In some cases with the weaker stories, it felt a little forced like the author came up with a story for the sake of having another story. I would have liked fewer stories that were all very strong. The narrator, Kristina Rothe, did a wonderful job of bringing out the darkness and creating the tension that brought out the tone of each story. The characters were unique and identifiable. Very enjoyable listen!

EIDOLON AVENUE:THE FIRST FEAST BY JONATHAN WINN is comprised of twenty five horror novels. The audiobook is narrated by KRISTINA ROTHE.

I found the stories really good. They were just the right amount of suspense/horror that will give the listener a good case of the creepy chillies!
I would have given the book a five star but for two things: One, the F word that ,in one story ,was used every other word and it turned me off the story right away! Second, the narration. At times the narration was droning. Kristina Rothe needs to put more emotion into her reading. It sounded like, at times ,that she was just plain bored with the whole story. If the author and narrator can work on these two points they series will be a smash!

I am a big fan of the horror genre, and this was not a disappointment. Jonathan Winn's tale was chilling, and all the whole experience was enchanced by the stellar narration of Kristina Rothe. I hope that the two team up for a second installment, because I would love to listen again!

Chilling story with the perfect narrator
