Deker Harrison es un agente de la C101, una unidad secreta del FBI con reglas propias. Su supervisor lo envía a Santa Mónica para investigar una serie de asesinatos, allí se reúne con la que será su compañera, Erica Mornain, psicóloga de perfiles.
