Publisher's summary

Entertaining Romance with no Surprises

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes it was. Nice story that makes you curious to know the end and may deliver some funny times if you are not expecting anything fabulous or out of the common kind of romance.

If you’ve listened to books by Carmen Santos before, how does this one compare?

This was my first one.

What didn’t you like about Maria del Carmen Siccardi’s performance?

I am not sure it was the narrator or the recording but very often some names would be pronounced wrong (like Gervasio being pronounced Gersavio) and in some cases the phrase would be read twice.

Did El sueño de las Antillas inspire you to do anything?

Entertaining but definitely not an inspiring book.

Any additional comments?

Very long romance and great to practice Spanish listening while having fun.

Good story, very mediocre narrator

The narrator was slow and some of the characters' voices she made were way too infantile and extremely cloying. But worst of all, the editing was lacking in extreme: the narrator would restart re-reading sentences if she didn't like the intonation, for example. That happened MANY times throughout the book. So so annoying. Also, one of the characters named GerVAsio, was pronounced by her on many occasions as Ger-SA-vio - such carelessness. I listened to the end because I liked the story but the narrator left much to be desired.
