The Civil War in Springfield, MO

The perseverance of Eliza and how the Gospel was lived brought life to the people. I wasn’t crazy about the narrative, as at times it seemed staccato. There were times when it flowed.

development of characters was amazing

I was surprised at the realness of the voice, especially since I know the author.
