Story
On May 31, 2014, in the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha, Wisconsin, two 12-year-old girls attempted to stab their classmate to death. Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier’s violence was extreme, but what seemed even more frightening was that they committed their crime under the influence of a figure born by the internet: the so-called “Slenderman”. Yet the even more urgent aspect of the story, that the children involved suffered from undiagnosed mental illnesses, often went overlooked in coverage of the case.

The grid is an accident of history and of culture, in no way intrinsic to how we produce, deliver and consume electrical power. Yet this is the system the United States ended up with, a jerry-built structure now so rickety and near collapse that a strong wind or a hot day can bring it to a grinding halt. The grid is now under threat from a new source: renewable and variable energy, which puts stress on its logics as much as its components.

Artificial intelligence does the seemingly impossible - driving cars, trading stocks, and teaching children. But facing the sea change that AI will bring can be paralyzing. How should companies set strategies, governments design policies, and people plan their lives for a world so different from what we know? In Prediction Machines, three eminent economists recast the rise of AI as a drop in the cost of prediction. With this single, masterful stroke, they lift the curtain on the AI-is-magic hype and show how basic tools from economics provide clarity about the AI revolution and a basis for action by CEOs, managers, policy makers, investors, and entrepreneurs.

Attention Business Owners
If you own a business and your not using AI ChatGPT yet, then you need to listen to this audiobook.
I admit, I am slow to latch on to new technology. I keep hearing about ChatGPT and decided to educate myself. Wow, what an eye opener. I have learned things I never thought of before. I will definitely be using this technology to step up my marketing campaigns and blog posts.
What I have learned is that you can easily discover fresh ways to market your business, quickly write blog posts, and even discover top market trends.
My favorite thing about this book is the prompts. Even though I have not taken this tool seriously, I did play with it once before hearing this book. I shrugged it off quickly because I didn't see what it could do for me. With the prompt suggestions, I see why it did work before.
I've already used it to write a blog post and I was quite surprised. I did have to make some edits, but I had it done in minutes instead of hours. I usually pay someone to write 1 post per week, but I believe with this, I can sit down for an hour and plan my monthly posts.
I'm very pleased with what I've learned from this audiobook and I believe it will help me grow my business with less cost. I'm ready for 2024.

A good nudge for me
As someone who's been a bit on the fence about diving into AI for my business, this audiobook was like finding a goldmine. The narrator has this friendly, approachable style that makes the world of AI seem less like a sci-fi movie and more like an incredibly useful tool you'd been overlooking.
The book breaks down how ChatGPT and similar AI technologies can revolutionize the way small businesses operate, from automating mundane tasks to providing insights on customer trends. It's packed with practical tips and real-world examples that make the whole concept super relatable and easy to understand.
What I really appreciated was how it addressed common concerns and misconceptions about AI, making it perfect for anyone who's curious but cautious about integrating these technologies into their business.
A must-listen for any entrepreneur looking to stay ahead of the curve. It’s insightful, straightforward, and might just be the nudge you need to start your AI journey.

listen carefully - If you use or plan to use GPT
I've been using chat GPT for a while now. This book provides a comprehensive and easy-to-understand guide on how leveraging AI, particularly ChatGPT, can revolutionize business operations. The book adeptly explores how incorporating ChatGPT into business strategies can streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and cut costs significantly. It delves into practical applications, offering step-by-step instructions on harnessing the power of AI to optimize customer service, marketing campaigns, and overall operational workflow.
I hear additional information from different people and different places. Some are inspired, others worried, but this book busts all myths. Chat GPT won't take your job because without human intervention and being set up correctly, chat GPT can do much harm, so be careful.
It is an excellent book with many tips on how to use it to get to the following warnings about plagiarism and breaking the law.
If you use or are planning to use chat GPT - listen carefully.

Great book
I write books, and I'm always pestering my friends with ideas for stories, and help with plot and character development. As you can imagine, after a while they get bored of my questions, so I started thinking about whether ChatGPT could be my sounding board for ideas, to help develop them, but I wasn't really sure how to ask it for help. This book lays it out step by step, as well as showing you other ares of my life where it could be useful. Thoroughly recommend.
