I just finished listening to "Emotional Intelligence Breakthroughs" and can't wait to go back and re-listen chapters that resonated with me. Each chapter builds upon the last giving a layered learning of principals and thought paradigms that are useful and practical in everyday life. I loved the examples from real-life people to support the lessons in each chapter. There are wonderful proactive exercises to help when tensions arise (like the 'PAUSE' method or the 'HEAR' framework). There is even a chapter on cultural diversity and how our different biases can impact our thoughts. My favorite line was "Emotional Intelligence is not necessarily about grand gestures but intentional, compassionate choices in everyday moments." This is a book that can be listened to multiple times when needed and I highly recommend it! The narrator's voice was nice to listen to, very melodic and calm. Enjoy!!

What a great book! I loved all of the helpful tid-bits that seem so common sense, but often aren't thought about when deep in the moment. The real life examples within each chapter make this topic so relatable. The narrator had a great cadence and tone of voice which I always want in an audiobook.
