Good audiobook
What I liked most about this book was the honesty involved in it. The parts about identifying your villain and your victim and learning how to make them coexist and be apart of you; realizing that you are whole because you have been broken; and taking the time to identify core wounds and learn to cope with them all spoke to me.

The author did a wonderful job, I understand myself on levels I didn't think possible, but that's only because I didn't know how to look inward or how to grieve the parts of me damaged from trauma. I also have a new understanding of what it means to be an empath.

It's an amazing resource.
This book breaks down what it means to live with so much inside of you and how to make sense of it all. It's equally compassionate towards people on all levels of their journey, and fierce against how the new age community promotes emotional suffocation. This book helped me understand and begin to discern my inner world so I can use my empathy as my greatest power. It's an amazing resource.

Empaths
I've always been especially sensitive to the emotions of people around me and it's not something I can say I've enjoyed. I appreciate the author doesn't lightwash the realities of being an empath. It's overwhelming and sometimes draining, stressful and entirely unpleasant.

Really helpful
The book feels like you’re talking to a close friend. Sometimes *spiritual* books push the notion of “love and light only” but the author does the opposite here - helping you discover and get to know your shadow side so that you can accept and heal parts of yourself.
