About this listen

I was told I could never have children — now how do I tell the billionaire who doesn’t trust women that I’m pregnant with his baby?

Eight years ago, Cole Matthews humiliated me in front of everyone at my best friend’s wedding and became the man I loved to hate. Since then, I’ve avoided him at all costs.

After an infertility diagnosis, I didn’t think things could get any worse, until my best friend begs me to do her a favor — one which involves working with Cole to uncover a secret.

Cole’s dealing with his own wounds. A devastating heartbreak cemented his belief that women can’t be trusted. He’s channeled that anger into building a billion-dollar empire, along with an impenetrable fortress around his heart.

He’s still infuriating, arrogant, and impossibly gorgeous, and as much as I want to hate him, I can’t ignore how my body comes alive when I’m near him.

A night of confessions leads to mind-blowing passion, now the impossible has happened —- I’m pregnant with his baby.

My joy is overshadowed by fear. I told him I couldn’t have children.

Will he see it as the miracle it is, or see me as just another woman trying to trap him?

CRINGY Narration

The virtual voice narration is TERRIBLE! You know the narration is cringy when you can’t tell the difference between what is supposed to be romantic and hot love scenes and the heroine checking her email (unless you listen very closely). I think this is probably a good story but I will NOT be wasting my credits on any more virtual narration.

Virtual Voice kills the emotion.

This book may come across better if recorded with someone doing the narration. The virtual voice takes all the emotion out of the book and makes it hard to connect with the characters. I wanted to like this book more, but it just didn't touch me.
