Some people bounce back in response to setbacks; others break. We often think that these responses are hardwired, but fortunately this is not the case. Stoicism offers us an alternative approach. Plumbing the wisdom of one of the most popular and successful schools of thought from ancient Rome, philosopher William B. Irvine teaches us to turn any challenge on its head. The Stoic Challenge, then, is the ultimate guide to improving your quality of life through tactics developed by ancient Stoics, from Marcus Aurelius and Seneca to Epictetus.

Individuals with this disorder engage in chronic devaluation and manipulation of their partners, a psychological and emotional phenomenon known as "narcissistic abuse". Unfortunately, the full extent of what narcissistic abuse entails is not taught in any psychology class or diagnostic manual.

Excellent resources for all entrepreneurs!
If you could sum up Entrepreneurship Lifestyle in three words, what would they be?
Inspirational, Thoughtful, Actionable!
What other book might you compare Entrepreneurship Lifestyle to and why?
The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco. Both books offer thoughtful and practical advice for cultivating entrepreneurship as a positive lifestyle, and process that can be learned and practiced.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite part is when Nick gives an alternative definition of entrepreneurship as a situation when a person who chooses to live life as his or her true self. This way of looking at entrepreneurship might be seen as an over-simplification, but has indeed reduced entrepreneurship to its essential qualities of bringing out an entrepreneur's life purpose and creative potentials.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I am particularly inspired when Nick mentions the life and work of Earl Nightingale in various parts of the book, and reminds us "success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal".
Any additional comments?
Nick's work on Entrepreneurship Lifestyle offers excellent insights and resources which are not easy to come by for today's entrepreneurs. It contains important reminders of what entrepreneurship is all about, in its essence. I feel truly inspired when he reminds us that an entrepreneur is not just someone who builds a business, but rather is a person who chooses to live life as his or her true self. Many books on similar topics fail to take readers back to this very basic - in that when you fix yourself, your inner entrepreneurial strength will be translated into outer accomplishments.
Nick offers clear and actionable steps that help us get our mind clear, get inspired, and live a purposeful life (i.e. our true self). It points you to some of the best resources that helps you accomplish that. Great book!

A Must Listen
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend this book for all entrepreneurs, and by that I mean anyone “who chooses to live life as his or her true self.” Reading it will help you avoid neglecting yourself as you face down the stress and consternation that is a part of all of our daily lives.
Nick’s thoughtful and well written book is a beautiful story of personal growth and discovery. But more than that it is the first work I’ve come across that focuses on the well-being of entrepreneurs themselves. Nick truly cares for the mind, body and soul of individuals undertaking the journey to live lives that they control themselves. We too often overlook our mental, physical and spiritual health, ultimately to the detriment of ourselves and our ventures. This book is a heartfelt reminder to care for ourselves as individuals, and that in so doing we can achieve any worthy goal we put our minds to.

Great Quick-listen
The best kinds of books in this genre are the ones that make you feel like you are the target person; that the topic applies directly to you. I think Nick Cicerchi does a terrific job of balancing sourced information and his own take on the matter through relatable experience.

ReflectiveRealRelatable
What about Donny Baarns’s performance did you like?
Easy to listen to and understand
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
no, actually I needed to pause and reflect on what was stated and bring up my own ideas and relate to how what was being read meant to me personally
Any additional comments?

The Tao of Integrated Entrepreneurship
The author doesn't introduce anything earthshaking but he goes over the basics for how to live an entrepreneurial life with sanity. My version of the author's five steps are:
1. Seek Inspiration
2. Become an inspiration
3. Work on yourself (talents)
4. Work on your body/mind
5. Work on your business
Important listen for someone on the verge of burnout or not living an integrated live.

Very Unoriginal
What disappointed you about Entrepreneurship Lifestyle?
Meditate, Exercise, Think Positively. That is the entire book. It's unbelievable that Mr. Cicerchi would have the arrogance to think that these extremely widely written about topics are worthy of being rehashed by an amateur with nothing new to add to the thousands of books already written on these topics. It's even more frustrating that Audible would stock such a book and yet not many others that are so much more worthy. Note that Audible has almost nothing on social justice topics, but hundreds of these self help books like this that merely rehash the most obvious wisdom of the ages.
Would you ever listen to anything by Nick Cicerchi again?
No.
Any additional comments?
Audible is carrying a disappointing array of novice authors with absolutely nothing original or interesting to say.
