    Awesome Book !!

I am an avid, long-time audio book consumer (over 100 Audible titles). I rarely take the time to write a review, but this book has had such a profound effect on me I felt the need to share my thoughts.
The book is well written and well read. The author(s) are newcomers. It they can sustain this quality of book, I am sure they will enjoy a successful and fruitful career.
This book force me to question and redefine many of my core values. It opened my eyes to the prospect of challenging the "normal" North American balance of work, time off and travel. It entertained me and made me laugh. I recommend this book, without hesitation, to anyone who has imagination and an open mind.

Great book , one suggestion for audio version

I really liked this book and will listen again & maybe buy the kindle version as well. If you are going to get this audiobook I would recommend getting kindle version at same time so you have narrated version. I’m pursuing a career break and found this to have great info. Only issue really is that the Audible chapters contain multiple book chapters so it’s harder to go back to a particular spot for reference. I don’t set bookmarks while listening to audiobooks since that defeats the purpose a bit.

Nice book. Great narrator. Good to read.

    - If you can afford this book you can go to one-year sabbatical.
    - You can start today, now. Just do a first step.
    - You don’t need to quite your job or take a free leave. Maybe there is another option.
    - Treat sabbatical as an investment – in your relationship, health, new skills.
    - After first long sabbatical it’ll be hard to find the word: I Can’t.

If you want to give yourself a few months sabbatical – read this book. Specially chapters 1, 2 and 5. If you don’t know how to provide income for your jorney or want to automate your business read instead 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss.

    Needs a different narrator

What did you love best about Escape 101?

    Good information included.

How could the performance have been better?

The narration was like a lecture. A lot of the humor was lost in the delivery. I think the audiobook would have been way better if read by the authors. The performance really made it tough for me to get through even though I knew that if I were reading it in print I would have finished the book quickly.

    Well Written and Read

The premise of the book, that "anyone who can afford this book can take a sabbatical", sets a high bar for delivery. And it does deliver. And it's quite easy really. I highly recommend this book.

When I think about vacations, I think in terms of thousands of dollars per week. At that rate, a real 6 months off is out of reach. But thats not how it has to work. In some places in the world, $1000 a month can cover all your expenses. And some are less.

This book deals with helping employees and business owners to get away.
