Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. This Story Felt Flat and Disconnected
Why, why, why??? Why is the narrator a female when the story is about two men? That alone was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the narration was average at best. As far as the story, I didn’t feel the emotions I might have if a masculine voice had been telling it, or if the narrator had been a bit stronger. I didn’t feel a connection between the characters, possibly because there wasn’t enough verbal interaction. Overall, the story was artificial, robotic, and very repetitive.
