About this listen
Introducing Eve Swift. Unsung wartime heroine. Homespun detective. By day she’s a librarian, at night she wears her heart on her uniformed sleeve. She’s clever, caring and braver than she knows. Together with her boyfriend, PC Harry Giles, she solves crimes in the blitzed cathedral city of Norwich, England.
A missing red tie draws Eve into a world of crooked suspects and hidden tunnels; here, the threat of invasion is very real. Is there a connection to the suspicious death of a loveable rogue? EVE SWIFT AND THE BLITZ BAD WOLF has humour, drama, intrigue and romance — all wrapped up in Eve's engaging voice.
About the author
M. K. Crane lives near Norwich, England and has long been fascinated with his hometown's wartime history. "It's still there, for those that have eyes to see," the author says. He hopes his readers will journey back to a world of "cobbled streets, cathedral spires and air raid sirens." He has even given the heroine of the series a home on Gladstone Street. "My grandparents lived there for over half a century," he explains. "Where better for Eve to work, rest and play? That little terraced house witnessed the war, and so much else." The streets and landmarks of old Norwich are at the war-torn heart of this exciting new series.
