About this listen
Callan and Colby were brought together as children by fate. They became best friends, and confidants, only to be torn apart by tragedy.
When they meet again, their relationship changes from the innocence of childhood love to the passion of soulmates. It will be tested by the lingering pain of the past and the uncertainty of the future.
Can two people meant for one another appreciate the circumstance that first brought them together or ultimately allow it to tear them apart?

Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it.

This book is amazing!!
Ever the Same by Steffanie Blais is book three in the Men of Sierra Falls series. If you like best friends to lovers, childhood friends, football, dual POV, and second chance romance then you will love this book.
Callan and Colby met when they were around 6 or 7. They were in a hospital where Callan’s older brother Nolan was getting treatment for cancer and Colby’s little sister James was born. They were inseparable after that until life got in the way.
In this story Steffanie broke my heart several times and waited until the end to put it back together. She did such a great job with this storyline and plot. I thought she did such an amazing job with the characters and capturing young love and heartbreak. My heart broke for Callan and in the same breath I was so mad at him. I loved when Marcus called him out for treating Colby the way he was. Colby was so strong and I love how she never gave up and her loyalty never wavered. Marcus is the best!! My favorite scene is the escape room…I’d suffer from PTSD after that lol. I’m so glad I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook. Ava Erickson and Gideon Frost did an amazing job with the narration and capturing all of the emotions. Thank you Steffanie Blais for letting me listen to this audiobook.

Callan & Colby
Using Callan and Colby’s story, Steffanie reaches directly into your chest and tugs at every last heartstring. This is an incredibly emotional novel, very different from the first book I read by Steffanie but equally amazing! When you get so much insight to characters—listening/reading their story from childhood—you feel as if you know them, and I really loved that.
Though they parted ways due to life and its obstacles, once they reconnect, it’s as if no time has passed at all. I definitely did not want this story to end. Ava and Gideon’s expert narration of Ever The Same was an absolute game-changer. Their chemistry on the mic was palpable. How they expressed such emotion while recording and weren’t literally sobbing (or maybe they were) shows just how amazing they are. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ listen!

Absolutely Perfect!
Wow! This story has all the feels. I absolutely loved listening to it and I can't wait to listen/read the next book!
This story had a lot of ups and downs, missed moments, and growth. It was beautifully written and I could not stop listening to it once I started.
I will definitely be checking out more of Stephanie's books!

Childhood friends-to-lovers? Say less!
From the very first moment I pressed play, I knew this audiobook was going to wreck me in the best way possible. Ever the Same isn’t just a love story—it’s a beautifully woven tale of childhood bonds, heartbreaking separation, and the kind of love that stands the test of time. Callan and Colby’s story is raw, real, and achingly emotional.
Steffanie does something truly special here. She doesn’t just give us two characters who fall in love—she gives us two souls who were meant for each other. Their childhood friendship is so deep, so beautifully written, that you can feel the weight of every moment they’ve shared. And when life pulls them apart? Oh, the heartbreak! The years of longing, of “what ifs,” of missing pieces—every bit of it makes their reunion all the more powerful.
From the first chapter, I was hooked. The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and their love story is filled with nostalgia, longing, and just the right amount of tension. It’s the kind of slow-burn romance that keeps you rooting for them the entire time!
And the narrators? Wow. Ava Erickson and Gideon Frost. Their chemistry is palpable. There are moments so intense, so charged with unspoken emotion, that you forget you’re even listening to an audiobook—it feels like you’re living it. The tenderness, the frustration, the passion—it’s all there, laid bare in every word, every pause, every breath.
This isn’t just an audiobook—it’s an experience. It’s the kind of story that stays with you long after the final words are spoken. It’s love in its most pure, beautiful, and heart-wrenching form.
So trust me on this—grab your headphones, find a cozy spot, and get lost in Callan and Colby’s world. You won’t regret it.
