About this listen

Everything Young Athletes Need To Navigate The Complexities Of Sports In One Book!

It's so easy to get flustered, to blame it on a "bad day," to express in the face your frustration (which the opponent of course will see).

It’s so easy to grab the quick, unhealthy snack and skip the extra reps, telling yourself, “I’ll get serious later.”It’s so easy to let emotions take over after a tough loss, instead of learning from it and moving on.

It’s so easy to assume talent alone will carry them, instead of putting in the extra reps when no one is watching.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the comparison game—wondering why another athlete is getting more attention, instead of focusing on what’s in their control.

It’s so easy to think one bad game defines them, instead of recognizing it as just one moment in a long journey.

It’s so easy to rely on natural ability instead of committing to structured training that builds real, long-term athleticism.

It’s so easy to shrug off the importance of sleep, stretching, and nutrition—until their body starts breaking down.

It’s so easy to take coaching personally, rather than using it as a tool for growth.

It’s so easy to let pressure crush them, instead of learning how to use it as fuel to perform at their best.

It’s so easy to get frustrated with teammates who don’t work as hard, rather than focusing on being the leader who raises the standard.

It’s so easy to feel like no one understands what they’re going through—when in reality, every athlete faces the same battles.

This book is about guiding your young athlete to the truth about what it takes to be great AND stay healthy mentally and physically along the way.

It’s hard work.

Everything Young Athletes Should Know is the essential manual for athletes to thrive in sports and life—covering mindset, training, nutrition, leadership, and more.

Every 10-18 year old who listens to this book will resonate with it, learn from it, and be transformed by it.

Must read for young athletes

This book is full of pointed tactics and how to’s for every athlete, including moments to pause and reflect, giving the reader an opportunity to implement the lessons learned. Having played college soccer and sports all my life, I wish I had a resource this rich in guidance. It will be a definite read for my children as they get into sports. Great book Andrew.
