Good book, fantastic narration

While I enjoyed the story, the narrator is the true star here. Very well done.

The best recasting of the legends

Although in some parts the prose is too purple and the narration overdramatic, both sparkle in the final scene. Or maybe it was the tears in my eyes.

Good but didn't finish off the series cleanly

Good but didn't finish off the series cleanly. Too many parts left unfinished. Ended too abruptly.

Reinvigorated Arthurian Legend

This series was action-packed and full of gritty detail of what it may have been like in Britain during such a tumultuous period in history. The characters are well developed and the narrative flows like a cavalry charge from Arthur's warriors.

Perfect Voice Performance

I really enjoyed this, the Warlord Chronicles Trilogy, but especially because of Jonathan Keeble's excellent performance. He was the perfect choice for narrator, does a wonderful job with the various characters and really brought the story to life for me.

The Chronicles are a richly detailed work, which takes some time to get into and can be slightly demanding as a reader. But Cornwell, read by Keeble, subtly weaved all the many strands together making a tale that hums in the memory and makes one wish for a time that probably never existed in this particular way.

I know I'll be listening to these again.

Amazing story told by an amazing narrator

If you love a gripping, action packed, fantasy with dark twists and life-like characters this is a must. I finished these three books over three months driving to and from work. You won't regret taking the time to hear Johnathan Keeble bring these timeless characters to life.
