Author clearly understands the digital challenges

The relatable solutions found throughout the book made it feel less like a lecture and more like advice from someone who's been there. The author clearly understands the challenges we face with managing distractions in a digital world, and the strategies offered—especially around developing laser-sharp focus—are so timely and relevant.

These coping skills are so important!

The author created a great resource to help teams improve their executive functioning skills. Unfortunately, these characteristics appear to be a lost art in this digital age. The tips on managing time, staying organized, and building emotional intelligence are practical and easy to follow. This is a thought-provoking conversation starter between parents and teens who want to get better at handling responsibilities and navigating challenges with more confidence. Highly recommend for any teen looking to sharpen their skills!

Very needed for teens and young adults

I teach college students and am always looking for ways to help them become more critical thinkers and to enhance emotional intelligence. At first, I wondered if this would be appropriate since they are older teens or in their twenties. However, the concepts of executive functioning and self-regulation are complex and are challenging to master, even for young adults in college. I was able to use the information to add more ways of talking with my students about the importance of learning to regulate emotional responses that will help them with critical thinking and problem-solving throughout life.

Good book

A very good book helping young adults better understand their executive functioning and how they impact their daily life. The authors covers different important areas such as stress management, procrastination, motivation and emotional control.

My favorite is the chapter about the digital world as it teaches teens how it negatively impacts their life, how to have a good balance using technology and even a digital detox plan! The book also covers all the challenges & self-talk you may has such as setbacks, the belief that nothing will work for you, etc and how you can overcome them.

I like books targeting young adults as it is important that they learn about such topics/ skills from a young age to better prepare them for the future

On the way to becoming an adult, in your teenage years, you can encounter many different situations and scenarios that can form and create good and bad outcomes within yourself. The craziest part is that most of these are done subconsciously, and you have to identify and search out your emotions and how they come to the surface; THis audiobook equips you to deal with these situations with logic and reasoning to deal with them and change or reinforce the good outcomes. It gives specific strategies and steps to help with time management and executive function skills. It is so helpful that the language is clear, concise, and understandable for a teenager to grasp and apply. Equip your child for the world and years ahead.

Fantastic way for teens or anyone to improve life

What makes life hard? Stress...This book gives tons and tons of ways to very, very effectively manage or even eliminate stress. Many "astonishing strategies" for time management, avoiding feeling overwhelmed, getting organized, combating fear when starting projects, etc. Methods for exactly how to stay focused and on task. How to handle impulses. How to calm your mind. And, of course, how to calmly prepare for tests!

Step by step methods to overcome procrastination, meet deadlines, manage your time - and your emotions - in general. This would be great for any and every busy person. I am a huge fan of habit building and executive function training and this book delivers. Most people are convinced that they either can or cannot do certain things which is simply not true. We have to gradual build the skill sets to accomplish whatever.

The narration is excellent. The only hard part for me will be how to get my kids to listen to it...I was tempted to buy the book because our oldest loves to read...
