About this listen

The Tell-Tale Heart meets American Psycho.

Kenneth Dahl returns to his once-familiar home after being confined to a psychiatric hospital, but he’s not alone. The dead whisper secrets to him that only he can hear. When the voices materialize as a ghostly phantom, Ken’s new life is threatened.

Ken tiptoes on the razor's edge between sanity and madness as he searches for answers in his past. A forbidden communion with a mercury mirror forces him to confront a chilling truth: He might be evil. Each glance and every whisper fuels his paranoia. Can Ken distinguish friend from foe, reality from illusion, before he kills again?

Eye of Athena is a gothic novel inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe in which Edgar Allan Poe is a character. It’s the perfect book for listeners who enjoy supernatural suspense and twists in a historical setting.

Holly Knightley gave us an excellent spooky read, and Stephen Smith made it a wonderful audible experience. Smith, at first, sounded uncomfortable imitating a female voice. But he soon seemed to relax into the character and he came across as much more natural. I enjoyed Eye of Athena in both printed word and recorded voice. I hope you do as well
