About this listen
FATSO: A CULTIVATION JOURNEY is the continuation of the saga of an Appalachian family that began with BUDDYBOY: A CULTIVATION FANTASY. To fully appreciate the story the two books should be read in that order.
The day that Fatso’s world changed didn’t start off all that much differently than any other day. Hearing his brother, Buddyboy, arguing with his sister, Tinywee, at the kitchen table was about as normal as expecting the sun to come up in the east. It was only when he joined his siblings for breakfast that things became strange.
Buddyboy seemed different. However, the difference was so subtle that Fatso wasn’t entirely sure that what he thought he saw was even real. Over time that initial impression proved true. Only when his brother began teaching him and his siblings how to cultivate and use Qi did Fatso come to understand that the changes went much deeper than he had realized.
Then Buddyboy revealed his ultimate goal. He dreamed of a future greater than anything the family could have imagined. Fatso believed in the dream and he discovered that he was eager to help make it a reality. That just left two questions. Did he have the skills, intelligence and strength necessary to see it through? Would he have the courage he needed to face the dangers they were sure to encounter along the way?

First, I want to say the AI voice is great. A few glitches/mispronounced words and no character voices like, say, Travis Baldree, but the story still comes through just fine.
And a very enjoyable story it is. There is a prequel, Buddy Boy, which isn't a requirement to read first but there would be a lot of spoilers revealed in this if read first.
To the author: please continue the series, and the things that I nitpicked about, as feedback for you, in the review of the first book were absent or at least unnoticed by me in this one. Very well done. Please keep the story going, especially exploring the pocket space and perhaps it's owner or inception or purpose.
Excellent cultivator fantasy!

It was hard to find this book since there isn't a "series" page. I'm not sure why they aren't grouped.
Serious kudos to the author for the story, I really enjoyed it. I hope you keep going and give us more amazing cultivation stories!
I Loved this story!
