I absolutely loved listening to this book!

All throughout this book I was captivated by the characters and story line. Such a sweet and wholesome love story, I couldn’t wait to find out what happens next. The person who did the audio for this book did a fantastic job of vocalizing the different accents of all the characters and remained consistent with them throughout the book’s entirety. I always knew what character was speaking next. I look forward to listening to more books by T N Traynor.

Faith Lives

This book is written about the revival of Christian faith in Wales around 1904-1905. This is a faith based book of romance. But also about Christianity. I loved the story. I thought it well written and tasteful. I loved the historical content. The narrator did a fairly good job, although at times seems slightly stilted. It in no way actually hampered the listening of the story. If you like sweet romance with no zing and actual historical information, this book is for you. An added bonus is if you like Christian romance with historical information!! Enjoy!!

A Heart-Warming Well Researched Romance Novella

I appreciated the contrast between this book (a historical novella) and TN Traynor's fantasy novels. I noted a very different and equally engaging style underpinned by comprehensive research that immersed the reader into the hardships of life for all but the wealthy in early 19th Century Wales, I really enjoyed the nuances of the family relationships and the surprises that occur along the way as Lord Geoffrey Driscoll and Faith discover each other and contend with the social and practical barriers that face any potential union in that era between different classes. A club foot and overwhelming memories and betrayals do not stall Faith in her determination to support her family. The values such as persistence, personal faith, hope, and family loyalty portrayed by our lead characters are heartwarming and the novella reaches a sweet conclusion.

The story is brought to life by the lively narration by Diane A. Rice and I appreciated the pace of the narration and the ease of the switch in perspective between characters.

A beautiful Christian Historical Romance novel

If you are a romance readers, check this one out. This is a really touching story. Faith had trouble believing that God would love someone like her. She had so much sadness and reproach for herself. I got teary-eyed in some parts of the book. i’m glad at the end faith finally excepted God, along with the man who cherish her. I can’t wait to check out more books bye T N Traynor. I will recommend this book to my friends who love romance novels. I know they will enjoy this one for sure. Diane A. Rice is great! I love her narration of this book. I love all the different voices she portrayed. One of the best narrators I’ve found so far.

Sweet, Simple story

I will start this review by saying that overall I liked this book. The story is a sweet one. There is a bit of a Ruth/Boaz feel at the beginning of it. There is redemption from past mistakes and second chances for love.

Unfortunately I can’t give it more than 3 stars because I had a hard time with the amount of similar/metaphor, as well as over used phrases like to be honest, honestly, etc, in the story. It got distracting at times - almost to the point of wanting to stop reading.

The narration was fairly basic and there were times that she had issues (lack of a better term) with her accents. I had to listen to it at an increased speed because she was a slower reader; though I do that with all my books to some degree.

If you want a sweet love story, with an easy to follow story. This book is for you!
