An in-depth and intriguing political analysis
As a follow-up to his first chapter about Brexit, this book doesn't initially promise much as it focuses on one central group around the PM. However, it tells a great story of how a seemingly very capable politician can come unstuck through the actions and attitudes of the people around her.
It is an extremely detailed record of the year after the Brexit referendum. The first book gave a less than complimentary account of Jeremy Corbyn with not one good thing to say on his behalf. However, this book is a little more balanced. Some of the story you will already know, but the detail and backroom conversations make it interesting. The only downside is the fact that it is limited in time. If you don't read it soon, its relevance will diminish because even a week is a long time in politics.
As an audiobook, Rupert Farley's narration brings it all to life with a lot of passion.
