Publisher's summary
Three teenagers, two worlds, one secret.
There are some places in Teynia none were meant to go, hiding secrets none were meant to find. One unfortunate spring morning, sisters Kali and Kilyn Middlethird stumbled upon such a place and uncovered such a secret. They stood before the Gate, an enchanted barrier left behind by the Álfaerëns long ago to imprison the Spirit, an evil capable of destroying all of Teynia. If only someone had told that to the Middlethird sisters. If only someone had told them about the Gate, they might not have opened it.
Now, Teynia's fate hinges on the Middlethirds surviving long enough to find the legendary Portal of Worlds and the lost descendants of an ancient hero hidden within the Portal. To save their world, they will have to find the magic to leave it. Their journey leads them to Earth, where they will have to decipher age-old clues to find what they are looking for.
If Pennsylvania high school senior, Alexandra Castellano, fails to unravel a thousand year old mystery of her own, buried deep within her family name itself, Teynia will be lost to the Spirit, and Earth will be next. And none of them will ever find out who they really are or what they are truly capable of....

The 30 days of turmoil and drama are so intense that recording it all takes more than 500 pages. When Malachi Baker stumbles into an offer of apprenticeship from the esteemed and powerful Occultist Orykson, he's left in shock and jumps at the chance to learn... Even if it means taking out a few loans. Unfortunately, his new teacher sees him more as a tool than a student. He has set Malachi near-impossible goals before he becomes worthy of Orykson's full attention, and Malachi's innate power is only somewhat above average. Worse, it turns out that Orykson has enemies more powerful than Malachi had ever imagined—and now their attention has landed solidly on him.

Story
Kay and Matt—disenfranchised, manic depressive pagan deity assassins, cult busters, and office drones, real "all-in-one" employees of the clandestine, Pan-Abrahamaic conglomerate known as CrossTech. You might conjure up an exciting, high-octane fantasy over such a profession, but in reality they are not so different from you. They mostly file reports, attend seemingly pointless meetings, and have to explain every decision they dare make outside of the chain of command to an uncaring, angelic manager, and his self-important, weaselly assistant.

Wayne dreamed of piloting a thirty-foot-tall walking robot that was closer to a battle-tank than anything else. They were called Walkers. They were armed with laser cannons, rockets, missiles, and heavy kinetic weapons more similar to artillery pieces than guns, and everything that went with that. Unfortunately, he had been declined military service. His only avenue left to become a Walker Pilot was to make it happen all on his own. Under his own power. With his own hands. Literally.
