Publisher's summary
Her ruse uncovered, Jane finds herself in exile from the home and family she found aboard Sneaky Lass. What little money she had now gone, Jane’s options are to find a livelihood or starve.
Helmed by a notoriously mad captain, the lethal crew of Deceit is leaving their mark across Trinity’s many brothels. Left with no other options, Jane joins ranks, but it is not long before she learns there is no honor among these thieves and murderers. Jane finds her position aboard Deceit to be more captive than crew.
Opportunities for escape buckle and Jane resorts to leaving desperate missives in her wake with the hope they cool the ire of Sneaky Lass captain, Bennett Holt, enough for him to reconsider her position on his ship… And in his life.
*Captain Holt, reeling from heartache brought on by Jane’s deception, has sailed away. The sour feeling in his stomach over leaving Jane behind intensifies when he finds her notes, each more dire than the last, scattered throughout brothels and docks where the infamous vessel, Deceit, has anchored.
The irony of Dixon-turn-Jane being on Deceit is not lost on him, but is her violation of his trust worthy of being caught in the hands of a crew feared, even among pirates, for their ruthless cruelty?
Is it worth risking his loyal crew for someone who deceived them all and broke his heart?

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

Emotionally devastating in the best way
The pacing is just right, and the author pulls no punches. Jane's anguish feels real and raw, and the dual narration creates a sweet sort of agony that kept me listening for hours into the night when I should have gone to bed. I can't wait for the third installment to be released as an audiobook! Highly recommend this series!

Conflicted
I am conflicted. Somehow I both love and hate this book, but that is only because Kennedy's writing sucked me in and made me feel like the characters were real and like they were my own friends, so, I cheered their successes and was angry on their behalf at all the wrongs committed against them. I cannot wait to listen to the remaining books, conflicted and all lol

Feather At Sea
honestly when I first started this book I didn't quite know where it was going to go I had hoped that Bennett would have came back for Jane, but it took so long or it felt like it took so long because in time it was only like a few weeks? I don't know I felt like I was waiting for months and months for them to find each other I love this series so far and I cannot wait to finish it on to book three!

That Ending
Kennedy did such a great job. I was hooked with book one and now book 2 has me even more invested. But I'm so mad with that ending. it's not fair, and I cried so hard

Feathers at Sea
Wow, this book ripped out my heart. I wasn't sure what expectations I should have going into this series, but I love it so much and can't wait to continue. I met Kennedy Sutton in person recently (she is very sweet and adorable in real life), which I expected to translate to her books, but her books actually hit on very dark and difficult subjects. Her writing has a way to just entrance me, and I'm so interested to see what happens to the characters that I love, and especially the ones I hate! While I read the first book physically, I really enjoyed this one as an audio. The author narrated her story herself, and her voice was perfect for this story (especially the shanty singing!!).
The author sent me a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my, Soul.
My intent towards Tom is not of my nature. When Jane finds the guys who bring her back to Bennett, I cried. Everytime you think poor Jane will catch a break something horrible happens in just life. The life of Jane has me so enthralled. I need for her to be okay, as if she is my own sister. While this book follows the love story of Jane & Bennett. You will also be brought along into another love story. If you don't already love Mickey from book one you will in book two. The tears I've criedbover Mickey maybe foolish to some. These characters live rent free inside my head. If you haven't started this series do not hesitate one more day! Get it you will not regret it!

The Chase
Feathers At Sea
Book Review by:Mimi
Jane found out for her deception was left by Captain Holt, running out of money, has to find a way to survive. Jane makes the decision joining another ship is better than the alternative brothels. Jane makes the decision to join the ranks of the ship Deceit. A mad captain & crew less than desirable feared by even other pirates. Jane finds her position on Deceit more of captive than crew. She tries many times to escape but they are always one step ahead. Not being able to escape she decides the only way is to leave letters for captain holt at all the brothels
visited by the Deceit, hoping he could forgive her & at least give her a position on the Sneaky Lass if not in his heart.
Captain Holt feeling guilty & broken hearted starts finding Jane's letters scattered at the brothels Deceit visited. Each letter more desperate than the last. Knowing that Deceit was definitely not a safe place for Jane. Is it worth the chase can captam not find it in his heart to give Jane another chance??? The chase in the book is heart wrenching it takes more twist & turns than a roller coaster & the ups & downs of your hope & emotion will keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely an excellent 2nd in the series! A must read series! Can't wait for number 3.
