A searing revelation of Mormon female culture

This book is a stunningly blunt microscopic view into the indoctrination of female culture in the Mormon church. Powerful!

Sobering, incitement and thought provoking

This book is made to show the continual discrimination in the Mormon Church that began at its roots and has continued until this day. A very good short read.

27 minute rant

I picked this up thinking it may be good to listen to something with a negative view of the church to which I belong. I like to read/hear differing view points. I would not recommend this for those who want a sound opinion on any idea of discrimination or anything else. This audio book spends the majority of the time talking about polygamy in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The author claims to have talked with some church members who practiced polygamy. This would be quite difficult since September 24th 1890. Any one who took a second wife after that date was excommunicated from the church for the practice, at least that was the official policy. There are some polygamist in Utah, Arizona and likely other states in the area. They are not however members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints. I am guessing that these people are what the author is referring too.

I was hoping for something that presented some sound arguments about discrimination against women in the Church, something that gave a person something to think about. This is not that, its simply a rant and one that is about 130 years to late to be applicable.
