About this listen
Please note: This audiobook is in Spanish.

Story
In 1992, the deadliest year in Chicago’s history, seven-year-old Dantrell Davis was shot and killed in front of his elementary school inside the public housing complex Cabrini-Green. What happened to Dantrell led to a truce among Chicago’s gangs, but it also ignited a national panic about poverty and violence in America’s cities. Dantrell’s name would soon be used to demolish all of Chicago’s high-rise public housing, displacing tens of thousands of low-income families.

Story
Christmas is the single biggest annual event on the planet, a time for merry-making, over-indulgence, peace, goodwill, and the occasional family row. It’s as comfortable and familiar as a pair of old shoes and yet still glittery and exciting. But what do you really know about it? It’s stuffed full of traditions and rituals that most of us have been observing all our lives without having the slightest idea of where they come from.

Widely hailed as a spiritual classic, this inspirational and unfailingly powerful story reveals the life and visions of the Lakota healer Nicholas Black Elk (1863–1950) and the tragic history of his Sioux people during the epic closing decades of the Old West. In 1930, the aging Black Elk met a kindred spirit, the famed poet, writer, and critic John G. Neihardt (1881–1973) on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Interesting read
What did you love best about Fidel y Raul, mis hermanos [Fidel and Raul, My Brothers]?
This book had an interesting point of view. I understand why she did it, but I found the gringo accents of the CIA agents really annoying.

Interesante

Recomiendo escucharlo

Great work of fiction
What did you love best about Fidel y Raul, mis hermanos [Fidel and Raul, My Brothers]?
It was somewhat of a comedy, if you are familiar with the protagonists. Juanita came up with a fantastic work of fiction.
What could Juanita Castro have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Well...she could have told the truth but then I would not have laughed as much.
Have you listened to any of Tatiana Vecino???s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have no basis to compare...I had never heard of her.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
The fictional Castro Family, as seen by the eyes of Juanita, the greatest fiction writer of all times.
