The narrator was one of the best I've ever heard. She deserves an award for best narrator. She made each story (all of the stories are not what we would call "horror " in this time ) come absolutely alive. I listened to them all without skipping even one.
If you would like a good collection of older stories with excellent narration then this is for you and worth the credit at the very least.

Awful narrator!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It was not time well spent because the narrator had a very annoying voice. These stories are wonderful classics and I so looked forward to listening to them, but the narrator had such a strange style of speaking, I just couldn't listen. The unfortunate thing is that she narrated all the stories. What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Classic Horror Stories?
The most memorable moment was when I stopped listening in the middle of the fourth story because of the narrator and made the decision to delete the collection from my library.Would you be willing to try another one of Cathy Dobson’s performances?
No.Any additional comments?
