LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the modern day legend in sketch comedy MACKENZIE BARMEN!

For some folk, seeing 'TikTok' in the title might seem strange especially if you do not engage with the app. Thankfully for everyone, Mackenzie's amazing and hilarious sketchwork is available on browsers in general if you are not an app download enthusiast and it is strongly recommended to familiarise yourself! From physical embodiment of social media platforms to general character studies, Mackenzie has managed to zero in on something so insightful with such control and observation, and as a guest and friend of the show you'll soon become her friend too (if you are not already). From family dynamics, to process, to career talk, to solo scares, and all the world besides, you will absolutely love this one even if Mackenzie's name is not in your immediate eyeline. Enjoy!

LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!

Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the prolific and well credited filmmaker and actor LEIGH WHANNELL!

A really lovely chat with someone who you will very likely know from films that have come up many times on this very podcast, so you know you're in for some goodness here... A delightfully self deprecating (in the best ways) and entertaining catch up which covers so much, including but not limited to working with James Wan, making films out of pocket and how to handle low budgets, creating a millennial Freddie Krueger, Insidious and Saw and working on such franchises, devilish alchemy, creative uncoupling, healthy fear of disease and the list goes on! And if you came here for an ethereal Sisyphian tone poem, we've got ya covered. OH ALSO - spoiler bits for Invisible Man where he runs through a scene as he wrote it (which is maybe not so suitable for folk of sensitive disposition) - just so you know. Never let death get in the way of a dollar! Enjoy!

A wonderful catch up with Josh, a first timer on the podcast who is immediately at home and fits in perfectly from jump. He and Brett get into all of it, including his full on animation musical series Central Park, his early inclusion in The Book Of Mormon (some folk are still on the team 15 years later), process, no time for self reflection, legacy over career, chasing scares, and a truly moving moment pertaining to birds. Enjoy his gradual Cockney accent throughout the episode too! DASS IT DEN BRUV. Have fun!

Interesting people discussing interesting movies!

I've been enjoying Brett Goldstein's performance in Ted Lasso and was intrigued by his podcast.

An extra thrill was hearing that Edgar Wright liked The Ruins, a horror movie I worked on!

Brilliant podcast with a lovely host

I love this podcast. Brett Goldstein is funny and kind and sooooooo interesting. plus he's Roy Kent! I discovered films that I've never heard of and rediscovered films I had forgotten about. Take a listen. You won't regret it.

The movie that made me sob cry...

The Fall (2006). The scene with the pills and later with the monkey. Full on ugly, cathartic, sobbing, hyperventilating tears. I had never even heard the name Lee Pace, and now every time I see him play an elf king or a blue Ronan, I feel like he's being wasted. (And this coming from someone who loves elf kings and the MCU.)

Love this podcast. It's delightful in all the ways the Office is not.
