About this listen
Beating my fear of California is happening after the wedding, and hopefully I'll find some more memories there. I really hope it works, and I don't find any more scary memories that no one knows about. They all insist that there aren't any more, but what if they just don't know about them? It's likely just an irrational fear, but it has me on edge.
Then there's Father's Day. I have mixed feelings about that adventure. Man, I miss my dad and Granddad so much. But I'm excited to celebrate with Garret. Unfortunately, it also means that I'll be seeing Laura again, and that always has me on edge. But Grandpa Pete deserves to be celebrated too. He hasn't done anything wrong. I can't exclude him because of the woman he's married to. Hopefully she stays in her corner, we'll have to see. I don't have my hopes up.
Our trip to Japan is next on the list. I'm excited about that, but also nervous. Barbara warned me that there might be a small hiccup getting into the country, which has me a bit worried. I'm trying to stay positive, but she said there's nothing more that she can do to help me. I'll just have to see how it goes. Hopefully it'll go smoothly and everything will be fine. Fingers crossed, and maybe a few toes will help too.
The marathon is our next adventure, and I'm really excited about that one. That's a dream I never imagined accomplishing, and we're about to make it happen. Hopefully the guys do okay, I don't want them getting hurt because of me. That would crush me. But they're strong, and we've been training hard. I'm confident that it's going to go well.
Camping on the coast is happening after the marathon, and I couldn't be more excited about that adventure. My whole family will be coming. I've never been camping before, but I can't wait to try it. I hope sleeping in a tent goes well, that's the only part I'm not sure of. But I have to experience it at least once, or I'll never know what I think of it. We have Brad's expertise, so it'll be fine, right?
