About this listen

Michelle was a young mother when she was kidnapped by a local bus driver named Ariel Castro. For more than a decade, she endured unimaginable torture. In 2003 Amanda Berry joined her in captivity, followed by Gina DeJesus in 2004. Their escape on May 6, 2013, made headlines around the world. In Finding Me, Michelle will reveal her story, and how she has found the courage to now build a life worth living.

I am so angry that Michelle was singled out and abused while Amanda was treated much better. this is like a horrible psychological thriller. it certainly doesn't seem right.
I'm glad Michelle survived and I hope she finds her Joey.

heartbreaking account of a horrendous ordeal

From the beginning of this audio book I was riveted. I was unable to turn it off and would often just sit and listen for an hour longer. It is horrifying in the details of what happened to these girls. No getting around that and it sometimes made it very hard to listen to. At times I was in tears. But more than that, it is a story about how good overcomes evil and the strength of the human spirit. I highly recommend this.
