“A Real Keeper!! This story had me from the first moment…”—Az Val, Kindle Edition, Verified Purchase

“I loved John Fire Hawk and his stalwart love for Kate!”—Regan Walker, Goodreads

The spellbinding frontier love story of a young woman torn between duty and defiance and her forbidden passion for the savage warrior prince Fire Hawk with its promise of true love.

THE SQUIRE’S DAUGHTER

Kate Miles is the dutiful but defiant daughter of an English squire, promised in an arranged betrothal to a man she does not love and can never respect. She is kind, but everyone fears her—her eyes being of two different colors—and she grows up concealing a rebellious heart.

In the midst of a harrowing chase through the forest, Kate first encounters Fire Hawk, who dispatches the pack of ravenous wild dogs attacking her. Fire Hawk lives on Kate’s fiancé’s property as an indentured servant and everyone treats him disdainfully as a savage.

When Fire Hawk and Kate gaze into each other’s eyes, their souls become one.

THE CHOSEN OF THE CHEROKEE

Fire Hawk is a Cherokee prince who carries the destiny of being “Chosen of the Cherokee,” the one who must lead and defend his tribe. He has secretly been sent to England by his tribe on a mission to learn the ways of those they must someday fight.

Fire Hawk must find a way to journey back to his homeland. But his heart will not let him leave without Kate, for their savage passion burns like forbidden fire.

“Ms. French’s Indian romances are always wonderful, but FIRE HAWK’S BRIDE is her best yet!”

“Usually Indian romances take place in the west and this was so different! This book was historically correct in the Native American research and had such a compelling love story... Having Cherokee blood in our family, I know that they were a beautiful people with an amazing culture. Kate and Fire Hawk fell in love from the first day they met, but had many trials and reasons that they could not be together. Four hundred years ago, Europeans hardly believed that American Indians were human. I loved the way that Kate and Fire Hawk saved each other over and over, and I wanted her to run away with him. Loved this book. The ending was exciting and left me thinking about the story for days. A real keeper!”—Az Val, Kindle Edition, Verified Purchase

“Great storytelling with well-drawn characters and rich historical detail….”—Regan Walker, Goodreads

The pros: I really like the story. I found at quite engaging. Yes, it does resemble the Bible. It has a Mary like figure and a Jesus like figure. Now, I really want it to be clear that I was here for the story more than the hot and steamy romance thrown in.

p.s. i listen to so many romances at this point that i'm taxed out on the live scence... lol I fast forward now.

The cons: the a I narrator... The AI narrator was atrocious. It was horrible and kind of ruined the story for me. LET ME MAKE THOS CLEAR: if this story had a actual person narrating the story it would have made it a thousand times better. It would have been a audio book that I would recommend to people, however, the AI voice narrator was so bad I couldn't tell who was talking at some points. it often sounded like there where a lot of run-on sentences because the sentences would be connected without a pause. there was no change in the tone of voice at all, I couldn't tell who was talkin. lastly, the ends of the chapters where left almost open ended as though the last part of the sentence was cut off.

Great story... resembles the Bible 👍
