About this listen
Former National Guard helicopter pilot Robin Harrow is ready for the best summer job of her life, working for Mount Hood Aviation. But when the wildfire sirens blare on her first day, it's into the hot seat for Robin and her super sexy copilot.
Mickey Hamilton loves two things most of all: women and flying. So when Robin Harrow roars across his radar, he locks on to her trail with no intention of turning back.
She wants a fling; he wants forever. Their one shot at a future demands that they first survive the present together.

Strong female characters - great book
Buchman creates just enough detail around military/firefighting tactics that the story feels really authentic without it losing flow because of long winded explanations. The characters are flawed, real people with real human emotions, they are working in stressful dangerous situations and actually become fatigued and a little bit irrational at times, which is nice to see.
I love that in this book that there is no shame or stigma around the women wanting sex as much as the men and nobody thought anything of it, such a nice change.
It’s refreshing that all the characters are depicted as strong and talented in their own way. The women are just regular women who have worked really hard to become capable of extraordinary things. The hero is also depicted as an ordinary man who is also respectful, masculine and capable. Not once in this romance book did any man find it necessary to hit a woman, coerce a woman or tell her that he knows what’s in her best interest in order for him to be considered ‘alpha’.

Want more!
If this author is not intimately knowledgeable of The fighting of forest fires, she’s an incredibly great author indeed. She manages to encompass so much technical information in a story that Is fast-paced and exciting, and I plan to search for more of her books on audible. And if I don’t find them there, that’s what my Kindle is for. Really great story, and the narrator

Wish for More Mickeys in This World😍
The narrator"s play on different accents gave more life to the story. i find the setting quite different and novel. I liked the woman protagonist's tough personality. Somehow I learned something about containment of forest fires and it too needs expertise.
