Publisher's summary

He's a hot single dad. A military man with abs of steel. My brother's best friend. My biggest enemy. And now my fake date to my best friend's wedding. Disasterville, here we come....

Mission: Survive my best friend's wedding, where I must play nice with my ex and his perfect new girlfriend.

Strategy: Bring the hottest fake boyfriend on the planet.

Target: Grady Rock. Master baker. Dimples. Muscles. The unicorn of fake boyfriends.

Complication: Wyatt Morgan. My brother's best friend. My sworn enemy. Military man. Sexy as hell single dad. The man I let into my panties for one night of hot hate sex after my ex dumped me.

And the man who just scared off that perfect fake boyfriend.

By pretending to be my real boyfriend.

I can roll with this though. What’s the harm in Flirting with the Frenemy if it helps me get the job done?

Complete my mission and move on.

Or so I thought.

Until Wyatt kisses me again and I start feeling things I shouldn't.

The thing about weddings...nothing ever goes as planned.

Flirting with the Frenemy is a rollicking fun romantic comedy featuring a single dad military man, an irritatingly attractive blast from his past, pirates, cursing parrots, and a wedding gone wild. It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

So much fun, great world building

I really wish I had the opportunity to attend a wedding of the caliber being described in the book. Ellie and Wyatt have a had a one time event before things fell apart. Then Ellie was in a car accident and months later, they meet again, this time as enemies. But Wyatt pretends to be Ellie's boyfriend so she can face her ex's wedding. But will this fake relationship become too real?

I couldn't stop laughing during the wedding scene. But the whole book is full of fun, wacky characters. There's so much personality in this book and I love the world building (can't wait to read the next book). This was, overall, just a fun experience. I need Shipwreck to be real. I initially read the book but then, had to buy the audiobook which is fantastic. I love Erin Mallon, who has a great ability to play multiple characters, both female and male. Joe Arden has a smooth voice and he did really well.

Absolute perfection!

Heartwarming storytelling, fabulous characters and a gutsy heroine made me fall in love with single dad Wyatt, his adorable son Tucker and his childhood frenemy Ellie who is also Wyatt’s best friend’s sister. I loved Wyatt’s dedication to serving his country but ached when that desire took him away from his son while I greatly empathized with Ellie’s slow recovery from her car accident. A young heroine with physical limitations represents a lot of us and it takes a special man to take on the responsibility of being a caretaker whether it be temporary or permanent. I loved the pirate wedding, Wyatt and Ellie’s meddling friends, their amazing chemistry and the multiple sneezegasms. Heart warming emotions, outrageous situations and pirates galore make this romance the perfect rom/com. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon were outstanding in their roles and their nuanced and hilarious vocal acting in this audiobook was absolute perfection, as always!

My favorite part was the bonus bonus bonus epilogue

I have listened to quite a few books with this female narrator but I’m still not a huge fan, especially her male voices. What bugged me about the story was the whole “putting someone else down to make them try harder”. That’s just so toxic and it’s one thing to do it as adults to but each other but another thing to do it as kids, especially an older kid to a younger kid which makes it doubt themselves. Not a fan. I kinda missed a conversation between the new ex from Patrick and the old ex, think that could have been fun.
My favorite part was the BBB epilogue. The part where they talked about how happy they were during their marriage even with all the things that happened to them, cause even with a HEA, things go wrong in life. ❤️

The story was fun and sexy, but the female narrator annoyed me.

The story was great and worth the credit. The male narrator was very good and had good control of male , female and child voices, but the female narrator held the last syllables of almost every sentence, and, by the end of the book, I wanted to scream! “Chapter twenty-fiiiivvvvveeee. Elliieeeeeeeee” (with a breathy finish). It detracts from the overall enjoyment of the book.

Flirting with the Frenemy

A first for me by this author and I was pleasantly surprised.
The story was easy to get into and I had a smile on my face for most of it. Ellie and Wyatt may not have been friends or even nice to each other most of the time. But Wyatt’s best friend happens to be Ellie’s brother.
I just enjoyed the vibe between these two. It was a great listen when I wasn’t looking for something too deep and I just really liked it. I will be continuing with the series.
Great narration too Erin and Joe killed it in this book.
