There’s a moment in Scripture that never fails to move me.

Jesus walks along the Sea of Galilee. He sees two brothers—Peter and Andrew—casting a net into the water. Fishermen. Ordinary men, busy with their daily work. And then, with just two words, Jesus changes everything:

“Follow Me.”

No flashy sermon. No promises of comfort or success. Just a simple invitation. And something inside them knew: this was worth leaving everything for.

They dropped their nets. They walked away from what they knew. And they followed Him.

That invitation didn’t stop at the shoreline. It still echoes today—through every age, every culture, and every heart that longs for something more.

“Follow Me.”

But what does that really mean in the 21st century? When we’re not walking dusty roads in sandals, or literally fishing for a living, how do we become true disciples of Jesus? What does it look like to follow Him in a world full of distractions, demands, and digital noise?

This book is my humble attempt to answer that question. Not from a place of having it all figured out, but from the perspective of a fellow traveler—one who stumbles, learns, and leans into grace every day.

In the pages ahead, we’ll explore what it means to live as a modern-day disciple. We’ll look to the example of Jesus and His first followers, and then ask: how can we embody that same devotion, courage, and love today?

Each chapter ends with a Scripture Focus—a verse or passage to reflect on, meditate on, and carry with you. I pray these scriptures anchor you in truth and inspire you to keep pursuing Jesus.
