I had high hopes for "For the Love of the Game of Thrones" by Connor Hemsley, but unfortunately, the Audible experience is almost unlistenable. The most glaring issue is the **virtual voice narrator, who consistently mispronounces nearly every name of a person or place. What's truly baffling is the complete lack of consistency** in these mispronunciations, making it impossible for the listener to adapt.

The structural issues are equally detrimental. The author breaks down each topic into numerous short chapters, but these chapters repeatedly rehash the same information and even the same phrases. This overwhelming redundancy means that an idea that could easily be covered in one well-written chapter is stretched into five identical, frustratingly repetitive segments, unnecessarily bloating the audiobook.

There were moments where intriguing concepts peeked through, suggesting that with more skillful writing and proper editing, this could have been an enjoyable listen. However, in its current form, it's a test of patience. The constant repetition and butchered names make it feel less like an insightful analysis and more like a punishment to endure. The complete lack of polish strongly suggests it was either AI-generated or never subjected to a human proofreader before release.

This audiobook serves as a stark warning about the current trend in media: when companies insist on using virtual voices and potentially AI-written content without proper human oversight, disclosure, or a commitment to quality, they risk destroying their credibility and wasting consumers' time and money. Do yourself a favor and skip these 12 hours.
