Publisher's summary

Jude Samson has worked for the Woodley family for such a long time that he is seen as a brother. But he has very unbrotherly feelings toward the youngest of the clan, Lady Audrey. When they find themselves off at the family's country estate, long simmering desires will come to the forefront and Jude won't be able to stop himself from taking that one, oh-so-forbidden taste.

After seeing what it has done to her family, Audrey is afraid of passion. But the moment Jude touches her, fear is washed away by intense and powerful lust. Only Jude has a secret that could destroy everything that is beginning to develop between them. And when it comes out, it will change everything.

please use UK Narrators

yett another novel where a major character is a marquee, in my book, a large tent. i do believe the author was referring to a marquess, an aristocrat, pronounced marquiss.

Good story but I thought more could have been done

with it. There was alot of potential for more action by the characters. Maybe because it's a series the story wasn't fuller. But it was still a good listen. Worth the time to see if you enjoy this writer's style b

May be a great story

It is rare that I don't finish a book, but I only made it through 3 1/2 chapters of this. I really don't know if it's a good story, but the narration drove me crazy. I, like most listeners, am in my car. I got tored of changing the volume up, up, up, down, up, down, down ,up. The narrator's voice is pleasant and the accent lovely, but it's too loud at times, then drops to a whisper.
It's not worth it to me to be changing the volume constantly. I missed numerous phrases and sentences due to the constant volume fluctuations.

Just OK

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Finishing the series of the Flynn's made me anticipate the family of the Woodley's, but I was a little disappointed. It should have had more substance in the first half, not just sex.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The story got more interesting when the mother got sick and needed a doctor. The story went uphill from then on. Prior to that it was a little boring.

What aspect of Danielle O'Farrell’s performance would you have changed?

I do not like her, the male and female characters all sound the same.

Any additional comments?

This story could have been a lot better if it had more to the plot. You learn from the beginning that Jude and Audrey are attracted to each other. Their story was predictable early on. You also knew there was a problem with Audrey's sister, Claire. That could have been developed more in the early parts of the book leading up to them finding her.

Not much of a substance

I think that the plot could have had some potential. Empty story, just to fill up the gap between various sexual scenes. The narrator did a great job but the story was not salvageable despite her great performance. I’m afraid I was not able to finish it and stopped at chapter 22. Even the intrigue of uncovering the mystery was not enough motivation to help me go through the story.

Meh

the plot was pretty good. Im waiting until the final book to truly make a judgment. The narrator was so very overly dramatic... i cracked up laughing several times over the narrator but never the book itself. I cant understand why there can't be 2 narrators in books. One female and one male voice. I typically skip over the explicit content but would have missed the whole book had i done that with this one.

Heroine Runs Into A Patch of Villains Because She IS STUPID

I liked this book at first. Then the author did the same thing with her heroine every author does. She makes the heroine an idiot. First because she rambles on about the heroine being afraid of passion. Okay, moronic, but whatever. Then the hero does something unwise, but not unforgivable. What does the heroine do? She becomes so stupid it hurts. I didn't bother reading after that because it was so predictable.

In the bright side, the sex scenes were good. Just fast forward through the rest, you won't miss anything.
