About this listen

There is a great deal to learn in studying the successes and failures of Presidents Kennedy, Nixon, Biden, and Trump, four presidents whose administrations coincided with dramatic societal changes and challenges. Schoen keenly analyzes the four presidencies through the lenses of political polarization, election campaigns, their early lives, their changing administrations, the role of fast-changing media, the impact of shifting racial relations, the drama of increasingly divisive immigration issues, and America's evolving defense and foreign policy. Schoen uses these comparative analyses to create a masterful plan to unite America and save our democracy.

I liked the comparison between today’s political partisanship and the Kennedy-Nixon years. I enjoyed reading about both Presidents Kennedy and Nixon.
I didn’t like the bias displayed by the author in favor of the left. Example: the author wrote about republican opposition against President Biden Supreme Court nomination, but nothing about democratic opposition against Presidential Trump’s Supreme Court nominations.
I wish this book was written in 2025, The author wrote the book too soon, not a lot on Biden and the section on President Biden had more comments about President Trump than on President Biden.
