About this listen

Igor the fox owes everything to Frankie Mouse, the scientist who brought him back from the dead. However, as Frankie begins to resurrect more and more animals, apparently with the intent of creating an army, Igor finds himself increasingly excluded from his master's plans. Desperate to win back Frankie's confidence, Igor starts down a path that reveals secrets terrifying to both the living and the dead.

Cute story from Igor's point of view.

The furries got their hands on classic movie Frankenstein and made this adorable story. I enjoyed this. Its short and sweet and does a good job with the characters and painting the scene.

The audio book is fun, reader did a great job with the different characters and storytelling. I enjoyed this and if you want something short and sweet then I recommend it to you.

Expect the unexpected!

This is what happens when Mary E Lowd retells a classic... the Unexpected is what happens!
I was anticipating a cute little story as another review indicated, and most likely a kids story too, as cute fuzzy animals take over the familiar character's rolls, but that's NOT what I got. Not at all!
I found this to be a deep, hard-hitting story told from Igor's point of view, and in this case, Igor is a fox! He's a good boy... he just wants his Master, (Frankie Mouse) to notice him, and in a desperate attempt to win Frankie's favor, Igor breaks the rules!
Chris Kayser told the story beautifully too!
Grab it today! If it's still available free to Audible members, you've struck gold, but if not, it's definitely worth the price of admission to this particular reality!

Cute

When I first saw this in the Plus library I added it to my own library just for a rainy day when I needed something to cheer me up. I didn't expect the ending to turn out quite like it did, but I have to say it was a cute tale and was well written. It adds a new spin on the Frankenstein story by turning the characters into animals to give it an extra kick and the narrator brings each character to life by varying each of the roles. I would definitely give it another listen.

Not what you think

What a fun, interesting listen! Social and religious commentary seem lighthearted when told with woodland creatures. Brilliant!

Frankenstein fable - perfect Halloween short

Great for tweens and up, this animal-version of Frankenstein starts interesting, builds a little menace, and ends with a goosebumps style ending.
