About this listen

Carrie flees from the demons of her present, trying to protect the ones she loves.

Frankie hides from the demons of her past and the memory of loved ones she failed to protect.

A modern-day princess thrown to the wolves, Carrie's only hope is the rancher who had spent the better part of a decade in self-imposed, near-total isolation.

Frankie's history of losing those she tries to save haunts her, but this madman threatens her home, her livestock, her sanctuary. She knows she can't do it alone, but has she still got enough support from her oldest friends?

Excellent narration!

We enjoyed listening to this book, but the narration was definitely the highlight. The plot was very good, although we would have liked better character descriptions and found some of the scenes TMI! Some of the details were not realistic. A bear trap can’t be opened by one man, for example, let alone one who has been caught in it. But all in all, the book was suspenseful and kept our attention. As mentioned, the outstanding narration made listening to the book very engaging and helped keep our interest. The variety of voices the narrator used really helped any lack of character development. We will definitely listen to other books narrated by Becca Gray!

Worth the listen

The story was very satisfying and fulfilling as the authors were able to describe in detail and set the tone of the story quite well. The plot was well thought out and I found it compelling. I could imagine everything going on in my mind’s eye. The narrator was excellent in her ability to depict each character’s voice and emotion, and to really bring the story to life. I highly recommend this title

Easy to listen

Book was predictable. I enjoy the town feeling of a very loving family and everybody looking for each other. I love the narrator.
