Richard Dawkins is a professor of the public understanding of science at Oxford University. The New York Times Book Review has hailed him as a writer who "understands the issues so clearly that he forces his reader to understand them too". His book (and audiobook) The God Delusion is now out in paperback. (Original Airdate: 3/28/2007)

Then, Francis Collins, the director of the National Human Genome Research Project. Previously, as head of the National Genome Project, he helped decode the human genome. Dominated by Dawkins

During the program, we hear from Dawkins for about 25 minutes but from Collins only about 10. I was disappointed each guest did not have the same amount of time to plead his case.

Rated higher because it is Dawkins.

What did you love best about Fresh Air, Richard Dawkins and Francis Collins, March 7, 2008?

    Dawkins is always interesting.

    Any additional comments?

This material was not that original, and having read and watched a lot of Dawkins, I was a little disappointed. But if you are new to him, it isn't a bad interview.

    Disappointing

The interviewer asked softball questions of Dawkins and appeared i’ll-prepared to explore matters with Collins. Overall, 26 minutes with Richard Dawkins and 11 minutes with Francis Collins

I love debates, especially science/creation debates. Both arguers represent there points well in this, but it is less of a debate and more of a crappy compilation of interviews and book promotiona shoved together and called a podcast debate. You get 25 minutes of actual argument material (15 plus mintes Dawkins, less then 10 minutes Collins, all old material), horrible questions from some interuptive NPR host, actual musical breaks and 8 extra minutes of some sci-fi movie review from a different NPR show. $0.66 is literally to much to waste on this audible title.
