About this listen
Engaged? Soon-to-be engaged? Or just thinking about building a healthy, vibrant, Godly life together as husband and wife? Marriage is not for the faint of heart.
Men, look at Ephesians 5:28: “So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.” Men, are you ready to make a commitment such as this?
Ladies, are you ready to hop on his train? Consider Ephesians 5:22: “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”
How are you both going to work out that verse as a couple? Anyone fighting yet?
From Me to We is a transparent, surprisingly honest, and widely informative guide that will inspire listeners to safeguard their marriage by tackling tough questions and issues before they say, “I do”.
Lucille Williams, pastor's wife and trained prepare-and-enrich marriage facilitator, offers straight talk about marriage with unprecedented insight, as well as, challenges and discussion questions - a must-have tool for premarital counseling. This compelling, entertaining, and insightful guide covers topics including the all-important question of why you are getting married, as well as, forgiveness, communication, expectations for marriage, baggage, sex, and money - all from a biblical perspective.

Story
Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find. While both men and women deserve both love and respect, in the midst of conflict the driving need for a woman is love and the driving need for a man is respect. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Love and Respect is for anyone.

Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.

Excellent Book
Great book for couples planning on getting married. Lucille Williams covers in the book important topics that couples should discuss prior to getting married. We used this for pre-marital counseling sessions & found it to be a great conversational starter & helpful resource. The chapter on forgiveness was insightful & encouraging with a great biblical perspective. I would recommend this book to a newly engaged couple or married couples who have never taken the time to discuss the important topics covered in this book.

Couldn't finish this book
This book would have been less intolerable if the author had managed to bring her excessive dramatics and overemphasis of EVERYTHING from a 23 (out of 10) to a manageable 7. Tried to appreciate her perspective of things (made it to ch 7) but couldn't get past her semi-insane energy level. Lady - TONE IT DOWN.

I couldn’t finish it...
I’m sure the book had wonderful points, however, I couldn’t handle how she read it. Way too dramatic and crying every other sentence made it hard to listen to.
