The real stories behind the scenery of America’s national parks. For 12 years, Andrea Lankford lived in the biggest, most impressive national parks in the world, working a job she loved. She chaperoned baby sea turtles on their journey to sea. She pursued bad guys on her galloping patrol horse. She jumped into rescue helicopters bound for the heart of the Grand Canyon. She won arguments with bears. She slept with a few too many rattlesnakes. Hell yeah, it was the best job in the world! Fortunately, Andrea survived it.

Story
The “mountain men” were the hunters and trappers who fiercely strode the Rocky Mountains in the early to mid-1800s. They braved the elements in search of the skins of beavers and other wild animals, to sell or barter for goods. The lifestyle of the mountain men could be harsh, existing as they did among animals, and spending most of their days and nights living and camping out in the great unexplored wilds of the Rockies.

This was great for planning my Hawaii trip!
I decided that I wanted to take a trip to Hawaii for my 50th birthday, but I've never been so I found this audiobook and it helped me a ton! First, I like that the author makes the experience more personal by discussing their experience with these locations in the beginning of the book. It makes you feel like a good friend is sharing the ins and outs of these locations, and it makes it feel more personal. They cover some of the more common things you would want to do there, but also a number of things that I had never heard of before. I feel like, no matter what it is you enjoy doing, it's all covered in these guides. Personally, I feel a lot more confident with my planning after having listened to this. If you're going to be visiting one of these locations, I highly recommend you review this program before you make your final plans. I think you'll be happy you did.

Great guide to plan a vacation
My friend was trying to decide between a Hawaii cruise or just staying there for their 40th birthday, and I found this audiobook to help us figure it out. It breaks everything down in a way that actually makes sense—like what’s worth seeing, where to go for the best views, and even hidden spots most tourists miss. I liked that it didn’t just list stuff but actually explained the vibe of each island. After listening, my friend decided to stay in Hawaii instead of cruising, and now I kinda want to crash the trip.
